Here are a few steps to gain access to the Netgear router login page
Make sure that you are using the proper address, username, and password, and that there aren’t any spelling mistakes.
The web address is routerlogin.net. Alternatively, you can opt to enter the default IP address which is 192.168.1.1 as well.
The default username is “admin” and the default password is “password”. The username and password are case sensitive.
Enter the information mentioned above and press enter.
If you have changed the password, the default password will not work anymore. And if you have lost or forgotten the personalized password, then, in that case, a factory reset will be required.
If an error occurs while trying to log in to your router through www.routerlogin.net, then you can try to clear the internet browser cache of the browser that you are using to log in to your router, and then try again. Alternatively, you can also try to log in to a different browser to resolve the access error to the login page.
If you still cannot login to the router home page, then you can try to log in to the default IP address which is 192.168.1.1. If this doesn’t work either, then you will have to find the IP address of the device that you are using to log in to the router manually.
If you are still unable to reach the log in page of the Netgear router, then you can try using some other methods such as a wired connection using an Ethernet cable as direct wired connections are proved to provide better results than wireless connections, or you can try connecting to the different bandwidths such as 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, or you can try to access your router log in page through a different device.
If the router network is connected to numerous different networks such as a wired and wireless connection simultaneously, a VPN or any other network, then there is a chance that the router login page might not work. In that case, make sure that there is only one network connection to your router at a time.
You can also try disabling any ad blockers, firewalls or pop up blockers or any other software used to block things to see if any of those are causing any trouble accessing the router login page.
If you still cannot access the router login page, then you can try to reboot router, modem and the device it is connected to through a power cycle.
And if none of the above-mentioned steps help you resolve your issue, then you can try to factory reset your router to restore the router to its default settings.
Take note that if you choose to reset your router, all your personalized data will also reset.
After you have reset your router, you can now try to log in to your router with the information provided in step 1.
After you have logged in, you can check your router’s IP address and keep an eye on any firmware updates in order to prevent any issues in the future.
